How to play
The ashes sweep is played over 5 matches between Australia and England.
The winner of the sweep is the participant with the most points after the final game in January
Adelaide - 16th - 20th of December 2021
MCG - 26th - 30th of December 2021
SCG - 5th - 9th of January 2022
TBC - 14th - 18th of January 2022
Bidding
- Before each cricket match, sweep participants will be allocated $100.
- Before each test match, the sweep participants will gather to bid $$ on players
- The sweep participant that bids the most $$ on a player, purchases that player for the next test match
- The bidding process will be tracked through a google docs spreadsheet
- Once a bid has been placed it can not be removed or reduced.
- All bids must be in round numbers. No cents here please
- A bid must be at least $1 more then the previous bid.
-
Any $$ not spent on one match will be carried over to the following match.
Example: If a player is allocated $100 but only spends $70 on 2 players, then the next match they will now have $130 to spend - Any player that is purchased will become available again in the next match
- If the player you purchased is not in the final 11 players then you automatically get the player that replaced the one you purchased.
- To help even the playing field a little over the course of the series. Participants that are towards the bottom end of the leader board will receive an injection of $$ at the end of each test$
- Bonus points (25) will be awarded to the participant with the most points at the end of a test match "winning a test"
